Ace Frehley on Past and Future

Ace Frehley...an update
From: Kissasylum.com
ACE FREHLEY is a long way from wanting to rock 'n' roll all night and party every day. He still likes the ''rock 'n' roll all night'' part -- as he will prove at Allentown's Crocodile Rock on New Year's Eve-- but the partying bit has grown stale for the former KISS guitarist. Image''I'm doing well,'' he says in a thick Brooklyn accent from a New York City studio, dividing his attention between answering questions and working with a guitar roadie on modifying one of his trademark special-effects Les Pauls. ''I've been clean and sober for a long time now.'' Clean and sober, maybe, but back in the rocking world for sure. He has assembled a new band -- guitarist Derek Hawkins, bassist Anthony Esposito and drummer Scott Coogan -- and is working on a new CD due for release in March or April. ''It's gonna be a special night,'' Frehley says of the Croc Rock gig, the fourth stop on his latest tour. ''We're all pumped up for it. We'll come in ready to tear the place apart. The new band really kicks [butt]. We're gonna do KISS classics, Frehley's Comet classics, new stuff. It should be a great night.''

KISS in 2008

2008...
From: kissfanshop.de
2007 brought us Kissology 2 & 3, a new Peter Criss album and a handful of Kiss shows in the USA. Let's have a look on what to expect in the new year.... Kiss will play at the Melbourne Grand Prix, a festival in New Zealand and maybe a few more shows in Australia. There is even talk about a European tour in May/June. As already mentioned before, Stockholms Olympic Stadium is already reserved on May 30th for a possible Kiss concert. According to rumors there is even a date in Greece on May 18th reserved. UKs Download-festival in June is also heavily rumoured as a possibility. In fact the extremely low value of the US-Dollar makes a European Kiss tour now more likely than ever before. Since the band is getting paid in US-Dollars, European promoters can now book the band for almost half the money they have paid last time in 1999. Ace is also to begin an extended tour early next year, which will bring him to Europe as well as it seems at the moment. A new Ace Solo album is also now more likely than ever. Let's hope Paul will finally find a distributer for his Live DVD. The Kissology series is also likely to continue next year. Maybe a new Peter Solo Album, maybe a new Kiss Box Set and maybe the Gene Simmons 150 song "Monster" Box Set will finally get released as well. Oh yeah, and let's not forget the 100 Kiss Coffe houses worldwide, which Gene mentioned some time ago...
